Mahua

Mahua (Madhuca longifolia) is a multipurpose tree in true sense

It fulfils three fundamental needs of tribal individuals i.e. Food, Fodder, and Fuel.

The flowers (Non-fermented) would be processed to make Mahua Jam, Pickle, and Ladoo. Mahua oil locally named “Kochra Tel” is unrefined and the process of oil extraction is time-consuming.
